INTERNSHIPS

We are always seeking dedicated interns to assist with our daily operations. Those selected would be responsible for album and track reviews, video and photo editing, interviews and transcriptions, news updates, research, social media maintenance as well as attending and reporting on live shows in the city and assisting in booking our monthly showcases.

You will be working side by side with the editors at their Brooklyn offices, meaning your input will be valued as integral to our goals. A collaborative work environment is essential to our blog’s mission statement! You will have the opportunity to gain first hand experience with the editorial aspects of music blogging as well as garner insight into the industry, make connections with publicists, imprints, booking agents, managers and the like, as well as have your personal work published on the site under your name.

We ask for 15 hours of availability per week – preferably in office (though working remotely is a possibility for those with less-than-flexible schedules). While the internship is unpaid there is potential for future employment, and we offer college credit to students as well as glowing references for a job well done. We ask that you cover at least two live shows (or your choice) per month, for which we provide tickets and/or list access.

Qualifications for this position include:
Strong writing and editing skills
Diverse knowledge of and passion for music
Knowledge of WordPress (preferred)
